IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team split its doubleheader with Howard Payne University on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets were led by Noah Payne who drove in five RBI and hit for the cycle in Game One. Dallas grabbed four runs in the first two innings, but were held in check the rest of the contest as HPU notched 18 hits in the game to go on to win 12-5.
In Game Two Dallas used a three-run second and fourth to jump out to a considerable lead. Nathan Patton (McKinney, Texas) hit a no doubt two-run homerun over the left field fence for his first homerun on the season. Jaylen Camarillo (Georgetown, Texas) gave up a leadoff homerun, but ended up striking out five straight batters and finished with a career-high eight strikeouts on the day. Patton ended with four RBI in the contest to help UD win Game Two 7-2.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team fell to No. 3 Trinity University on Sunday in the series finale. Dallas hung with the Tigers until the very end. UD was only down by one run heading into the pivotal ninth inning, but TU used a four-run ninth to take the three-game sweep.

Dallas hung around with the number three ranked team through six innings in Game 1. UD grabbed a 2-0 lead, but Trinity scored eight runs combined in the sixth and seventh inning to regain momentum. Jessup Scott (Lewiston, Idaho) smacked his first career home run in the ninth, but Dallas was unable to climb out of the deficit.
Trinity put up runs in all but four innings in Game 2, as TU gradually put together a solid lead. Dallas broke up the shutout in the eighth after the team strung together a couple of hits and walks. Both runs that scored came via two balks. Trinity would go onto take both games.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team dropped an extra inning contest to Blackburn College (IL) on Thursday afternoon. The Crusaders grabbed a 5-2 lead through six innings. Blackburn notched four unearned runs in the seventh inning to regain the lead. UD then tied it up in the seventh inning. Ryan Steen was the hero for the Beavers after his double to left scored Christian Padilla for the game-winner in the tenth.

The Crusaders fell behind early, but used a six run third inning to find their first lead on the day. DCC stayed on the Crusaders toes through most of the game, but UD found some insurance runs in the seventh inning to take the victory. Michael Jaquez (Irving, Texas) led UD on the day with four RBI and two triples.
DALLAS, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team swept its doubleheader against Dallas Christian College on Friday. The Crusaders started on a sluggish note in Game 1, but the bats woke up in the sixth inning as the team combined to score six runs and eventually go on to win 8-1. Conrad Voss (Corona, Calif.) shut down the DCC bats only allowing one hit.
In Game Two Ruggeri Thomas kept the Dallas offense in check most of the game, but UD gathered three runs off of two hits to gather the 3-0 victory. Zachary Taylor (Humble, Texas) did his job and more by pitching five innings and only allowing three hits. Taylor kept his perfect record alive on the mound as UD collected its first shutout since 2017, when Dallas beat Schreiner University 9-0.
CARBONDALE, Ill. - The University of Dallas baseball team pulled out an 8-5 victory over Wilmington College (Ohio) to conclude the NCC-Saluki Tournament on Sunday. The Crusaders put up eight runs through the first four innings, including a solo shot by Luke Boylson (Fairview, Texas). The Quakers stifled their offense after the fourth frame. WC grabbed three runs late in the contest, but UD was able to escape with the win and a 2-1 overall weekend in Illinois.

The Crusaders gave up all eight runs in six innings and were unable to get on the scoreboard until the eighth inning. The Cardinals recorded 13 strikeouts on the night and relied on three players to produce the offensive outbreak.

Zachary Taylor (Humble, Texas) shut down the Beavers as he pitched five innings, only allowing two runs to score on three total hits. Kyle Neel (Houston, Texas) then came into shut the door out of the bullpen as UD rolled to victory. Dallas held Blackburn to four total hits.

The Yellowjackets were led by Jacob Jones who had a 4-5 day at the plate scoring three runs, 2 RBI, and a homerun. Dallas held a 4-3 lead through five innings, but LETU scored nine runs in the final four innings to take the series win.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team split its twin bill against LeTourneau University on Saturday. The Crusaders won Game One 3-2. Dallas led from the fourth inning on, but the Yellowjackets scored two runs in the top half of the seventh inning to knot things up. Josh Abalos (Lewisville, Texas) was the hero as he hit a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh. In Game 2 LeTourneau came back with a vengeance to win 9-2.
CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The University of Dallas baseball team won Game 1 of the series versus University of the Ozarks (AR) 8-6. The Crusaders had a six-run third inning as five-different UD players drove in runs. Dallas tacked on a run in the fourth and the fifth to take an 8-1 lead into the final inning. The Eagles rallied for a five-run bottom half of the seventh with two outs. Dallas escaped with the win after William Bresnahan (Windham, N.H.) shut the door.
Dallas grabbed a 5-3 lead in Game 2 after a three-run fourth. The game was suspended after the eighth inning due to darkness. The game will resume on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in the Top of the 9th.

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas baseball team took the series win over Sul Ross State University after defeating the Lobos 13-2 on Sunday afternoon. The Crusaders scored two early runs in the bottom of the first. Dallas pitching held the Lobos in check through six innings. UD then scored four more runs in the bottom half of the seventh inning. Dallas wasn't done offensively as they put a five spot on the board in the eighth. Stellar pitching held the Lobos in check all day as the Crusaders only allowed two runs to score. UD only had three hits on the day but took advantage of eight wild pitches, ten batters hit by pitch and 10 walks to grab the convincing win.

With two runs in and two outs Zachary Taylor (Humble, Texas) smoked a home run to right field to put Dallas up 6-3. The Lobos then scored two runs in the top of the sixth, but Luke Boylson (Fairview, Texas) crushed a two-run round-tripper to left center to help Dallas grab its first win on the season. In Game Two Sul Ross put up a 10-spot on the board in the top of the second. The Lobos scored five more in the third as they went on to win 16-0 with the game being called after six-innings.
IRVING, Texas - Opening day for the University of Dallas baseball team is less than two weeks away, and the Crusaders will be home two of the first three weekend series in February, which includes the season opener on Feb. 2 against Sul Ross State University.
