LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - SPENCER LEVI OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a freshman forward from St. Louis, Mo., has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, December 3rd.
Levi gave the home fans plenty of highlights last week as the first-year shot 22-for-24 (91.7%) from the field and combined for 50 points in two wins for the University of Dallas men's basketball team.
Levi registered two more double-doubles, which giving him four overall for the season. On Saturday, he grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds and swatted a school record nine blocked shots - which alone tied the team blocked shot record in a game before Saturday's 11 total raised it. Levi also added 2.5 assists and one steal per game last week.
Prior to Saturday's near triple-double performance, Levi ranked 3rd in NCAA Division III for field goal percentage with a 78.7-clip. Along with his 11.2 rebounds average, Levi is shooting 81 percent from the field and ranks atop the SCAC in each of those columns.
Dallas returns to action on December 16th against SCAC preseason-favorite Colorado College.
