Montalvo paces Men's Golf in 1st Day at Linda Lowery Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's golf team opened the 2018 spring season at the Linda Lowery Invitational held at River Place Country Club. Round 1 was completed on Monday with the Crusaders tied for 11th place with a 317. There are 18 different teams in the field.

Emilio Montalvo (Mexico City, Mexico) carded the lowest score on the day for Dallas with a 74 (+3 Par). He is tied for sixth place, and matched the most pars on the day with 13.

Thomas Schuberg (Camarillo, Calif.) and Erik Hamm (Brentwood, Tenn.) shot a 79 and 80, respectively.

Host school Concordia University leads with a 294. University of Texas at Tyler and fellow SCAC opponent Southwestern University complete the top three team totals with a 300 and 302.
