IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team has announced the 2018 schedule and will feature 40 games this spring. Entering her fifth season at the helm, Beth Krysiak has a busy slate that opens with an 8-game homestand. The Crusaders will be at the friendly confines all of February for the consecutive year, which includes three straight weekends. The first 12 contests will be non-conference opponents, with each day being a doubleheader. Season opens on Feb. 11th for Coach Krysiak's squad against Hendrix College. These programs are scheduled to play for the third year in a row on the same weekend in Irving. On Feb. 17th, UD hosts another familiar opponent Southwestern Assemblies of God. These schools have played in the regular season each of the past two years, and the NAIA affiliated school was at Crusader Field for a Fall Ball twinbill in October. The Crusaders swept the games. The final weekend of the span is Simpson College on Feb. 24. The month ends with LeTourneau University for a midweek matchup.
