IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team was defeated in games one and two of a four-game home conference series to Schreiner University on Saturday. The Crusaders pitching held Schreiner to a combined five runs but were edged in eight innings in game one and blanked in the second matchup.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The University of Dallas softball team rallied down three runs in its final at bat of the day by scoring five times to secure a split in non-conference action at Mississippi University for Women on Wednesday. Carah Delao (League City, Texas) doubled to knot the game at three with her first collegiate RBI. Bri Torres (Cypress, Texas) drove in the go-ahead run and after an insurance run would hold the Owls off in the bottom of the seventh to give them just their third loss in 13 games this season.
SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team competed stronger in Saturday’s doubleheader at Texas Lutheran University but would come up short in both. After being outscored by a combined 15 runs in Friday’s twinbill, the Crusaders fell short in a 2-0 pitchers’ battle that had both sides with a pair of hits apiece. Dallas grabbed an early lead in the second contest but could not hold it and were unable to tie things despite having a couple chances before the Bulldogs got some insurance runs later.
SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team started Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play with a pair of setbacks at Texas Lutheran University on Friday night. Game one saw the Bulldogs score all their runs in the first two innings en route to a five-inning run-rule. In the second matchup of the series, Dallas allowed an early inside the park home run t Kelly Jurden of TLU. It was a tight game until a pair of runs in the third through fifth innings sealed the shutout for the Bulldogs.
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – KATELYN LAZAREK OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior catcher on the Crusaders softball team from Seattle, Wash., has been selected as the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Character and Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning March 4.

IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas softball team released its 2019 schedule for the spring season. The Crusaders have 38 contests on the docket with each date featuring a doubleheader. With 24 games versus Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) opponents, Dallas will play four-game sets within the league portion of its schedule.
IRVING, Texas – Newest University of Dallas head softball coach Caitlynn Dykes joined the Athletics Department Staff in mid-July and has been busy recruiting future Crusaders. The seventh head coach of the program met players from the Class of 2022 on Friday, as Dallas Fall Move-In Day began.
