Steve Prud'homme played basketball at the University of Dallas when the sport was revived as a varsity sport from 1985-86 to 1987-88. He was the all-time leading scorer for the Crusaders with 1,490 points (3rd currently) and in a season with 547 at the time of induction. On the career chart he was second in field goals (4th) and free throws (3rd), fourth in points-per-game, assists (5th) and assists-per-game (6th) and fifth in steals and free throw percentage.  During those years he accounted for 22.3% of the points scored by his team. His career line: 91 games, 525 field goals (42.2%), 95 three-pointers (42%), 345 free throws (80.4%), 1,490 points (16.1 ppg), 250 rebounds (2.7 pg), 331 assists (3.5 pg), 113 steals (1.2 pg).
