    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s soccer team played consecutive overtime matches on this home stretch, but this time only needed 21 seconds in the first extra period to grab its first home victory of 2019 with a 1-0 score over Schreiner University. Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas) provided the heroics once again with her third goal in third straight game on a goal at the 91:21 minute mark.

    IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team defeated Schreiner University 4-1 on Friday evening. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) paced Dallas with an early lead after he scored 2:46 into the game. Haugland later found two more goals to complete the hat trick as UD was able to get back to .500 on the early campaign. The Crusaders (2-2) outshot the Mountaineers 16-10, while 10 of the Dallas shots were put on frame.

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team rallied down 2-0 in sets to capture a 3-2 victory over Austin College at the Maher Center on Tuesday night. Dallas (6-6, 1-0 SCAC) claimed the conference opener thanks to a pair of winning sets decided by two points, both of which went extra points. The Crusaders outdid AC 54-52 in kills and totaled 13 service aces.

    HOBBS, N.M. – The University of Dallas men’s golf team wrapped up the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate on Monday. Dallas improved its team score with a 301 compared to 306 on Sunday for a 603 overall mark that was fifth best out of eight teams.

The Crusaders finished ninth at this week’s outing with an overall score of 817 (421, 396). Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas) led the Crusaders foursome by carding a 189 (97, 92) to place herself in a tie for 39th.

    IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team and McMurry University finished Sunday's hot afternoon match in a 1-1 draw. With less than seven minutes remaining in regulation, the Crusaders (1-2-1) netted the necessary equalizer off the foot of Alyssa Mencacci (League City, Texas), her second goal in two games over the weekend. Both sides had four shots in the overtimes but would finish in a stalemate. McMurry (3-0-3) settled for its third tie on the season, while UD played in its first overtime battle.

    HOBBS, N.M. – The University of Dallas men’s golf team finished the first round of the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate at Rockwind Community Links on Sunday. Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) shot a 71 (-1) to tie for second in the individual standings. Evans was a stroke off from matching his third-round result a couple days ago. He also matched the top Par 3 Scoring with 2.80 (-1) with three other golfers. His four Birdies were tied for third.

    HOBBS, N.M. - The University of Dallas women's golf team completed the first round of the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Crusaders currently sit in ninth place. Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas) leads UD after carding a 97 which places her in 43rd position. Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas) followed right behind her teammate with a 99 for 46th place.

    RICHARDSON, Texas - The University of Dallas women’s cross country team took fourth at the inaugural UT Dallas Cross Country Invitational. Anna Wilgenbusch (St. Paul, Minn.) won the meet with a career-best time of 18:55 in the 5k race. Emma Kate Callahan (Overland Park, Kan.) notched the second-best time for Dallas to secure the 12th position and set a new Personal Record (PR) in the 5k. (21:40).

    RICHARDSON, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s cross country team competed at the inaugural UT Dallas Cross Country Invitational held on Saturday morning. The Crusaders finished sixth out of seven teams. Thomas Lagarde (Linden, Va.) led Dallas with a 19th place finish after a time of 17:20. Two other runners finished within the top-40.

    IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas volleyball team swept day one of the University of Dallas Invite on Friday. The Crusaders (5-5) climbed back to .500 and have now won three-straight games after taking care of Alfred University and McMurry University in straight-set sweeps. Abigail Porras (El Paso, Texas) combined for 20 kills to help lead Dallas to a 2-0 day after securing both matches with a service ace on match point.

    SHERMAN, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s soccer team edged Austin College on the road Friday night in a designated non-conference match. Scoreless at halftime, the Crusaders (1-2) picked up their first victory of the season after scoring in the 57th minute and holding onto the shutout.

    SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s golf team captured second place at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational after totaling an 865 (-13) over three rounds on the Starcke Park Municipal Course. Dallas scored a 288 in the final 18 holes played on Tuesday, led by Robby Evans (Flower Mound, Texas) with a 70 for his best round of the tournament.

    SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s golf team finished the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Tuesday by completing the second and final round. UD finished in 10th place but made a 30-stroke improvement from Monday’s round. Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas) topped the Dallas foursome by carding a 181 (98, 83) cutting down 15 strokes. Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas) also had a big improvement on the final 18 holes after shooting a 184 (97, 87) for the Crusaders.

    SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s golf team finished in second place after 36 holes of day one in the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational at Starcke Park Memorial. The Crusaders shot a 286 in the first round and 291 in the second round to finish with a 577.

    SEGUIN, Texas - The University of Dallas women’s golf team completed round one of the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic on Monday. In the opening tournament of the fall season, a trio of Crusaders made their collegiate debut including Emma Christensen (West Haven, Utah), Claire Kirby (Lubbock, Texas), and Kaylei Richardson (Vega, Texas). Rounding out the Dallas foursome was sophomore Tiffany Han (Walnut, Calif.) who is back for her second year of play. UD sits in 10th place after day one of competition.

    JACKSON, Miss. - The University of Dallas volleyball team earned a split on Saturday with a pair of matches held at Millsaps College, as part of day two of the Millsaps/Belhaven Invite. Dallas (3-5) went 3-1 over the four-match weekend that started Saturday morning with a 3-1 setback to Huntingdon College. The Crusaders rebounded with a 3-2 victory over Central Baptist College in the early afternoon that featured a comeback for Dallas taking the last two sets in convincing fashion.

    JACKSON, Miss. – The University of Dallas volleyball team rallied from down 2-0 to stun East Texas Baptist University, and then followed with a 3-1 win over host Belhaven University to capture a 2-0 start to the Millsaps/Belhaven Invite on Friday.

    IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team fell to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 2-0 on Friday night. The Cru (2-0-1) broke the scoreless tie late in the first half. In the 37th minute Jasen Zirkel beat the keeper after a nice strike to put UMHB up and eventually take this lead into halftime. UMHB extended its lead in the 69th minute as Josh Bruton was in the right place at the right time and was able to beat the keeper left. Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas) kept Dallas (1-2-0) close making a career high 10 saves including a diving save on a penalty kick in the 79th minute.

    IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women’s soccer team was edged 3-1 by LeTourneau University on Friday night. Izzy Barajas (Bryan, Texas) scored her first collegiate goal and first by the Crusaders (0-2) in 2019 to level the score at 1 in the 21st minute. A pair of goals by the YellowJackets (1-1) in the second half secured the final result.
