SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The University of Dallas women's soccer team lost their conference matchup with Texas Lutheran 4-0 on Friday. They fall to under .500 at 3-4 on the year.
The Bulldogs scored on their second shot of the match, opening the scoring in the seventh minute to take a 1-0 lead. Nevaeh Coronado nearly leveled things up with her third goal of the season barely a minute later, but her shot whistled wide of the top right corner. The Bulldogs were firmly in the driver's seat in the first half and doubled their lead with a goal in the 35th minute. The Crusaders had one last chance to cut into the deficit before half time with a shot by Olivia Grytza, but her effort sailed over the crossbar.
It was just over six minutes into the second half when TLU struck again, taking a commanding 3-0 lead. Seventeen minutes later, they made it 4-0. Dallas struggled to create any meangful chances, but were able to test the keeper late in the game. An on-target effort by Emma Pesek in the 79th minute would be the last chance for Dallas, as TLU saw out the 4-0 win.
