IRVING, Texas -- The University of Dallas women's soccer team ties in SCAC play with the University of the Ozarks, closing out our double-header on Friday, with a final score of 2-2. Dallas is now 0-2-1 in SCAC play and holds an overall record at 2-6-1 on the year.
The Crusaders were down early on an unusual goal as Dallas' keeper was forced out of the box. On a night where Dallas was honoring their academic resilience their competitive resilience was also on display. A focused attack on goal and corners in double-figures proved to be a recipe for a tense match. The Eagles bench was delivered a yellow card as well as a few Crusaders.
Dallas would knot it up 1-1 before the ssecond period, on a penalty goal from Claire Reed. Ozarks would score midway into the second period on a screamer into the back of the net. The Crusaders Nevaeh Coronado would go on to tie it back up before the game was called.
Dallas' Ella Charles had 2 saves on 4 shots on goal.
