WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's golf team opened play at the SCAC Preview this week, held at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Fort Worth. The Crusaders battled the heat on the par-72, 6,898-yard layout as day one wrapped up early in the afternoon.

Jennifer Converse led the way for Dallas with a steady 84 (+12), highlighted by a strong 39 on the front nine and consistent play throughout the round. Ryley Buckner followed with a 100 (+28), showing determination and resilience across a demanding course setup.

Maria Burkhalter carded a 104 (+32) in her round, while Lauren Blake rounded out the Crusader lineup with a 133 (+61) to complete the opening day of play.

Day one at Hawks Creek provided valuable experience and competitive reps for the Crusaders as they continue their fall season. Round 2 play resumes in the morning.
