IRVING, Texas – Dallas could not piece it together offensively in a tough series against Centenary, dropping both games. Despite solid defensive efforts, the Crusaders' bats remained quiet, as they were outscored 12-1 across the matchups. Centenary (13-11, 8-8 SCAC) took both games over Dallas (7-23, 3-17 SCAC), securing the series.

Dallas couldn't find its rhythm at the plate in the series opener, managing just three hits in a 3-0 loss. Keely Mathis, SunnyDale Thies, and MacKenzie Flocke each recorded a hit, but the Crusaders were unable to push any runs across. Despite a strong outing from the pitching staff, the offensive struggles keptthe Crusaders from mounting a comeback.

The second game saw more offensive woes for the Crusaders, who managed just one run in the 9-1 run-rule loss. Keely Mathis drove in the lone run, while Mariah Hinojosa's double marked the only other extra-base hit outside of a late hit for MacKenzie Flocke for UDallas. Centenary took control early, scoring consistently throughout the game to seal the victory.
Dallas will play game 3 of the series Sunday, March 30 looking to steal one back.
