Crusaders Wrap Up Kerrville Trip

KERRVILLE, Texas –– The University of Dallas women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the Mountaineer Hill Country Invitational on Saturday morning, highlighted by personal-best runs and steady depth across the lineup.

Junior Teresa Cashen led the Crusaders with a 26:33.0 finish for 18th place, setting a new personal record in the 6K. Right behind her was sophomore Allison Leonesio, who also notched a 6K personal best at 26:38.4 for 19th place. Freshman Eva Posada-Arredondo continued the pack push with a 26:47.4 effort to place 23rd. First-years Emily Caroul (29:20.5) and Joanna McLean (30:10.0) rounded out the scoring for Dallas.

Despite being without a few key runners due to health issues, the Crusaders showcased their depth with additional contributions from Calla Harris (30:10.1), Gemma Bulcher (30:44.6), Kristen Ford (32:37.0), Hanna Simmons (34:48.6), and Lexy Leonesio (35:53.9). Finishing the weekend in 4th place among 8 other institutions and 6 total placing scores.
