IRVING, Texas –– The University of Dallas women's soccer team hosted MIT on Sunday morning at Crusader Field, falling 7-0 to the unbeaten Engineers.
UDallas goalkeepers battled under heavy pressure, with Ella Charles making 10 saves in 63 minutes and Hope Skelton adding 4 more in relief. Despite the onslaught of 35 MIT shots, the Crusaders stayed composed and held the visitors to just two goals in the second half.
On the attack, Kim Esparza and Semya Chancellor each tallied a shot on goal, testing MIT's keeper. Defensively, Nevaeh Coronado, Grace Reyna, and Heather Reyna all went the full 90 minutes, anchoring the back line against one of the nation's toughest offenses.
The Crusaders gained valuable experience across the roster as they begin to shift their focus toward conference play.
