FORT WORTH, Texas – The University of Dallas men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Texas Wesleyan University on Feb. 20 at Las Colinas Country Club.
Texas Wesleyan opened the match by sweeping all three doubles courts to claim the doubles point. Christian DeLira and Cayven Yi competed at No. 1 doubles but dropped a 6-1 decision, while Gabriel Alfaro and Gordon Huckestein fell 6-0 at No. 2. Wheeler Ehrlich and Juan Bustamante battled at the No. 3 spot before losing 6-1.
In singles action, the Rams continued their strong play, winning all six matches in straight sets. DeLira faced William Bayliss at No. 1 singles, while Huckestein competed at the No. 2 position. Alfaro played at No. 3 singles and Yi represented the Crusaders at No. 4.
Ehrlich and Bustamante rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, with both players fighting through competitive rallies before Texas Wesleyan secured the sweep.
