IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's tennis team fell 6-1 to LeTourneau University in SCAC play on Feb. 28 at Las Colinas Country Club.
LeTourneau opened the match by sweeping all three doubles courts to secure the doubles point. Christian DeLira and Cayven Yi competed at No. 1 doubles but fell 6-3, while Aidan Nguyen and Gordon Huckestein dropped a 6-0 decision at No. 2. Gabriel Alfaro and Wheeler Ehrlich battled at the No. 3 spot before falling 6-2.
In singles play, the Crusaders picked up their lone point at No. 3 singles. Alfaro delivered a strong performance, earning a 7-6, 7-5 victory over Brayden Money in a tightly contested match.
Nguyen and DeLira competed at the top two singles positions but fell in straight sets, while Huckestein pushed his No. 4 singles match to three sets before LeTourneau secured the point. Yi and Ehrlich rounded out the lineup at No. 5 and No. 6 singles as the YellowJackets closed out the conference victory.
