UDallas has a solid weekend at Nelson Invite

WAXAHACHIE, Texas – The University of Dallas women's track and field team delivered an impressive performance in Waxahachie, highlighted by multiple event wins and a strong relay showing.

Bailey Haas paced the Crusaders with a victory in the 100 meters, crossing the line in 12.76 with a +1.2 wind to claim first place in the Division I section. Haas later returned to the track as part of Dallas' relay lineup.

In the 800 meters, Rosie Beard added another win for UDallas, finishing first with a time of 2:30.33. Teammate Teresa Cashen also placed inside the top ten, taking eighth overall with a mark of 2:46.87.

The Crusaders also saw strong performances in the distance events as Joanna McLean led Dallas in the 5000 meters with a fourth-place finish in 23:24.06, while Kristen Ford followed in sixth at 26:35.80.

Averi Garrity took home the top spot in the women's 10,000 meters, with a time of 48:10.00.

Dallas closed out the meet with a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay, where the quartet of Bailey Haas, Teresa Cashen, Averi Garrity, and Rosie Beard combined for a time of 4:24.13.

The strong results in Waxahachie continue to build momentum for UDallas as the Crusaders progress through the outdoor track and field season.
