WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas — The University of Dallas men's golf team wrapped up competition at the SCAC Men's Golf Championships, completing 54 holes on the par-72, 6,898-yard course.
Iain Griggs led the Crusaders with a three-round total of 215 (-1), highlighted by rounds of 69 and 73 before closing with a 73 to finish near the top of the leaderboard. Griggs battled his way into being tied for second place just falling short of the individual championship title underneath Hendrix College, Oliver Nuamann, by a single stroke. Griggs is currently ranked 128th and will await his nationals fate in his final semester as a Crusader.
Zachary Vickers coming off of a golfer of the week performance, followed with a 221 (+5), posting consistent rounds of 75, 69, and 77, while Mike Zhang carded a 224 (+8) with steady play across all three rounds.
Matthew Duphorn finished at 230 (+14) after rounds of 76, 72, and 82, and Ethan Hoang rounded out the lineup with a 235 (+19), highlighted by a 74 in the opening round.
Dallas concludes play at the conference championship and now shifts focus toward the remainder of the spring postseason.
