UDallas women storm Abilene for SCAC Championships

ABILENE, Texas — University of Dallas women's track and field competed at the SCAC Track & Field Championships, with the Crusaders delivering multiple personal-best performances and scoring efforts across the meet.

In the women's 200-meter preliminaries, junior Bailey Haas posted a time of 26.60 before advancing to the 400-meter events. Haas continued her standout weekend in the women's 400-meter preliminaries, recording a personal-best 59.33 to qualify for the finals. Sophomore Teresa Cashen added a season-best 1:05.58, while senior Nora Eulie notched a personal-best 1:19.77.

Haas followed with another personal-best performance in the women's 400-meter finals, placing third in 58.70 to earn six points for the Crusaders.

Freshman Rosie Beard turned in one of the top performances of the meet for UDallas in the women's 800 meters. Beard qualified for the finals with a personal-best 2:23.78 in preliminaries before finishing third overall in another personal-best mark of 2:22.31 to secure six points. Cashen also competed in the preliminaries, posting a season-best 2:37.07.

In the distance events, freshman Eva Posada-Arrendondo led the Crusaders in the women's 1500 meters with a time of 5:53.54. Freshmen Kristen Ford and Lexy Leonesio followed with times of 6:10.36 and 7:08.54, respectively.

The women's 5,000 meters featured freshman Averi Garrity pacing UDallas with a 21:33.94 finish, while Joanna McLeanand Emily Caroul crossed in 23:01.45 and 24:07.58.

Garrity added a points-scoring effort in the women's 10,000 meters, placing seventh with a personal-best time of 47:15.07 to collect two points for the Crusaders.

UDallas closed the championships in the women's 4x400-meter relay, where the quartet of Haas, Cashen, Garrity, and Beard posted a time of 4:24.50 to finish seventh and add two more points.
