ROUND ROCK, Texas — The University of Dallas women's soccer team opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play Sunday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Concordia University Texas at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
After a scoreless first half, Concordia broke through in the 73rd minute when Riley Jackson scored off assists from Isabella Vassallo and Sari Hernandez. The goal proved to be the difference as the Crusaders were unable to find an equalizer over the final 17 minutes.
UDallas goalkeeper Ella Charles turned in a strong performance in goal, recording 10 saves on 11 Concordia shots on goal. The Crusaders finished with three shots, including two on target, while Concordia recorded 26 shots and 11 shots on goal. UDallas also held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
