Fuentes was the mainstay of UD volleyball from 2007 to 2010, claiming three most valuable player awards in the time. In 2008 she led the Crusaders to the championship of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), being named the conference tournament most valuable player and taking the team to the NCAA tournament for the only time. In 2010 she led the team to the best record in school history with a 26-11 .702 mark. At the start of this season, she had the most digs, 2438 in school history, 2nd in digs per game (4.97) and is 4th in games played (491). She was 1st team All-NEAC selection as well as 1st team selection for The Association of Division Three Independents.
