University of Dallas

Vanera Flores played volleyball at the University of Dallas from 1992 to 1994 when the sport returned to varsity status. At the time of induction, she held school records for assists in a three-game match, 39 versus Austin College, and in a five-game match, 45 versus Sul Ross State. She returned to the university as coach in 1998. In her second season the team experienced the first winning season since 1974. She followed that with three more winning seasons, as well as the championship of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association in 2001. Her career record stands at 108-90 .545 and includes two 20-win seasons and a United States Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Coach of the Year.
