Bio
Michael Schweiss pitched for UD baseball from 2008 to 2012. For much of his career he was used as both a starter and a reliever, more often as a reliever, though by his senior year was exclusively used out of the bullpen as he had blossomed into one of the premier relief pitchers in the league. He finished his career as UD’s career leader in games pitched (68) and saves (9), as well as holding single season records for games pitched (25) and saves (5). He has the sixth most wins in UD history with 21, the seventh most strikeouts with 205, a career 3.52 earned run average, and was a USCAA All-American in 2011. After he finished his playing career at UD, he went on to play four seasons with the Normal CornBelters of the Independent Baseball League.
