IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team completed its first week of the 2019 preseason and will be on the home pitch Friday, August 30 versus Howard Payne University in its season opener.
A change in the initial schedule release this summer has the Crusaders slated to start the campaign with five straight home matches, a trio of them against teams that qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament. The lone road match that would have split that home stretch up was at Sherman, Texas, against Austin College on September 10. It was a non-conference match, as the one that counts toward league standings is still scheduled for October 11 in Irving.
Dallas adds to the early play in the home confines on Saturday, Aug. 24 against Dallas Baptist University in a scrimmage at 8 p.m.
