IRVING, Texas – The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires athletics data to be submitted annually via a web-based data collection, by all co-educational postsecondary institutions that receive Title IV funding and that have an intercollegiate athletic program, to prepare an annual report to the Department of Education on athletic participation, staffing, and revenues and expenses, by men's and women's teams. The Department will use this information in preparing its required report to the Congress on gender equity in intercollegiate athletics.
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team slipped past Austin College 1-0 in double overtime. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) scored the game-winner in the 105th minute of play after he was fed a nice ball by Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) to give Dallas the victory. UD (3-6-1, 1-1-1 SCAC) was outshot 18-15 in the contest, but was able to snag its first conference victory on the season.
SEGUIN, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team fell to Texas Lutheran University 3-0 on Sunday. The Crusaders (2-6-1, 0-1-1 SCAC) held the game scoreless heading into halftime. Texas Lutheran (8-3, 2-0 SCAC) then came out of the break fired up scoring a goal in the 60th, 70th, and 80th minute to put the game away. The Bulldogs doubled up Dallas on total shots (26-13) and notched 13 corner kicks on the afternoon.
GEORGETOWN, Texas – The University of Dallas men's soccer team and Southwestern University battled in what resulted in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes on Friday. The Crusaders (2-5-1) played in its first overtime game on the season after playing in four a year ago. Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas) tied the game up just moments into the second half after Dallas had been shutout heading into the halftime break. Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas) equaled his season-best with 10 saves on the evening to keep Dallas in the game.
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team has been named to the 2018-2019 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic team. This marks consecutive years 17th-year head coach David Hoffmann’s team has achieved the honor.
SHREVEPORT, La. – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team stumbled at Centenary College on Sunday afternoon. The Crusaders (2-5) were outshot 21-11 on the day and were limited to just three shots placed on frame. Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas) notched eight saves day to keep Dallas in the game. Wil Escobar scored the lone goal on the day for Centenary (4-2) in the 64th minute unassisted.
HOUSTON, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team outdueled University of St. Thomas (TX) 4-2 on Friday evening in the first ever meeting. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) kept up the hot play as of late by scoring two of the team’s goals. UST (3-3) outshot the Crusaders 18-16 on the evening but could not get any late goals past Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas). Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas) put Dallas on the board just minutes into the game, while Carlos Trevino (Southlake, Texas) scored the final goal for an all-around Crusaders victory.
NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Dallas had five student-athletes awarded Player of the Week Honors with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Dayjah Whyte (Round Rock, Texas) and Larissa Ramirez (San Antonio, Texas) represented USCAA Volleyball Division I Player of the Week and Setter of the Week, respectively.

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team defeated Schreiner University 4-1 on Friday evening. Hunter Haugland (Bixby, Okla.) paced Dallas with an early lead after he scored 2:46 into the game. Haugland later found two more goals to complete the hat trick as UD was able to get back to .500 on the early campaign. The Crusaders (2-2) outshot the Mountaineers 16-10, while 10 of the Dallas shots were put on frame.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team fell to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 2-0 on Friday night. The Cru (2-0-1) broke the scoreless tie late in the first half. In the 37th minute Jasen Zirkel beat the keeper after a nice strike to put UMHB up and eventually take this lead into halftime. UMHB extended its lead in the 69th minute as Josh Bruton was in the right place at the right time and was able to beat the keeper left. Caleb Strange (Argyle, Texas) kept Dallas (1-2-0) close making a career high 10 saves including a diving save on a penalty kick in the 79th minute.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team battled University of Wisconsin-Superior on Sunday afternoon. UW-Superior (2-0) scored two early goals in the first half to take the early lead. The Yellowjackets took that lead into halftime after their keeper made three saves. Both goalies held their ground in the second half, until UW-Superior punched another goal across in the 82nd minute. Dallas did not stop fighting, as Nicholas Opsahl (Boerne, Texas) set up Chima Ogueri (Garland, Texas) perfectly with a nice ball to the middle of the box. Ogueri made a nice move to beat the goalie to put UD (1-1) on the board in the 89th minute. Time was not on the Crusaders side at this point, as UW-Superior gathered up the win.
IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men’s soccer team rolled past Howard Payne University on Friday evening on a wet and soggy field in Irving. The Crusaders (1-0) have now started the season with an opening win for the fourth-straight season. Dallas scored five unanswered goals in the opening half. Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) converted a penalty kick to start the scoring spree for Dallas just seven minutes into the game. Reynolds went on to find the back of the net again towards the end of the first half to lead UD in that category.
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas men’s soccer team announced its schedule for the 2019 season. For the seventh consecutive season, the Crusaders open the new campaign at the friendly confines. This fall will mark the second year UD plays at its new soccer facility that was done last summer and features lights for night contests.
DENTON, Texas – University of Dallas men's soccer midfielder Chase Reynolds (Southlake, Texas) signed with Denton Diablos this summer. The Diablos are a Semi-Professional Soccer Team that was founded in 2018. They compete in the National Premier Soccer League's Lone Star Conference. Reynolds performed in a tryout last February and was signed to the team, which began the season in May.
IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas athletics department celebrated its sixth annual end of the year banquet on Sunday, May 5, at the Hagger University Center. Each coach from the 15 NCAA affiliated programs took a moment to speak on behalf of their program, as well as recognize those that received postseason achievements highlighted by each team’s Most Valuable Player (Listed at bottom).
