As sports information director in his second year, Wilson handles all communication for the athletic department, including digital and social media, creative direction for the department, media days and statistical needs for home events.

As the primary contact for comms in the department he also tackles public address, Gameday setups and disc jockey needs.
Often handling multiple job functions at home events alongside his graduate assistant and his team of student assistants.

Recently awarded the 2026 NCAA CSC Convention Grant for his unique communications skills and inclusion efforts across all sports.

Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Most recently, Wilson completed his second year with the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) in the summer of 2024, serving as the league’s Director of New Media. In this role, he spearheaded content creation, digital engagement, and league-wide storytelling initiatives.

Texas Tech University & Campus Live Media
A 2021 graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Advertising from the College of Mass Communication, Wilson cut his teeth in sports media as part of the Texas Tech Campus Live Media team. Initially joining as a blogger, he soon transitioned into a Creative Content Assistant role, producing graphics for gameday, statistics, announcements, partnerships, and social media campaigns, while also serving as the lead play-by-play voice during contests.

Professional Experience
Prior to his time with the SCAC, Wilson worked with Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. as a marketing graphic designer, managing creative content, brand storytelling, and social media presence for the organization.

Personal
Wilson resides in Dallas with his Wife, Erica, of 4 years and their Golden Doodle Asher.
