The UD men's basketball team fell short in their comeback attempt tonight as the Rust College Bearcats fought off a late charge by the Crusaders in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 60 all. The Crusaders shot well from the free throw line, converting on 21 of 24 opportunities. From the field the team struggled however, shooting 32.8%.

Senior guard Jim Norton (Louisville, KY/Holy Angels Academy) again posted a 20 plus point performance with 21 to lead the team in offense. Senior point guard Jeff Pritchard (Oak Grove, LA/Frisco H.S.) and junior forward Noah Pettit (Fairfax, CA/Sir Francis Drake H.S.) both followed his performance with 13 points. Senior forward Travis Ekmark (Yokosuka, Japan/Nile C. Kinnick H.S.) led in rebounds with 9, blocks with 2, and assists with 5. He also shared the lead in steals with Norton and Pritchard with 2 a piece. With the loss UD moves to 2-2 on the year.

The men's basketball team will resume play on Tuesday, November 24 when they host Millsaps College at 8:00pm.
