The University of Dallas men's soccer team (4-8) broke a two game losing streak, winning 1-0 against Millsaps College on Sunday afternoon.
Senior midfielder Ryan Meske (Niwot, Colo./Niwot H.S.) started the game strong, scoring off an assist from junior defender Preston Waltrip (Derby, Kan./Derby H.S.) within the first five minutes of the game.
Freshman midfielder Adam Kaftan (Omaha, Neb./Creighton Prep) took three shots, two of which were on goal. While both teams had 14 shots, Millsaps College only had three shots on goal, as opposed to UD's seven. Crusader freshman goalkeeper Sam Carter (Chicago, Ill.) was poised in this match, earning a shutout.
UD will next play, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, as they face Concordia University (Texas), in a home match at 4:00 p.m.
