In their second game against the Hendrix College Warriors this season, the Dallas women couldn't overcome the early deficit the Warrior put them in, falling 71-51 in Conway, AR. Down by six at the break, UD couldn't rally as the Hendrix defense held UD to 23.3 percent shooting in the 35-21 second half.
UD was led by two double digit scores in junior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, TX/Marcus H.S) and freshman guard Christina Curt (Katy, TX/Faith West Academy). Sczepanski led the team win 17 points and added 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals, while Kurt pitched in 15 and 2 steals in the loss. Freshman guard Kylie Yoshimura (Tempe City, CA/Mark Keppel H.S) led the team with 5 assists and junior forward/center Joirdan Cole (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch H.S.) had a great all around game with 6 points, a team high 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 3 steals.
The Dallas women have the rest of the week off before heading to California this weekend for 2 games. On Saturday they take on La Sierra University in Riverside, CA at 6:30pm, and on Sunday UD travels to Orange to face the familiar Chapman University Panthers at 1:00pm.
