Bruffey's game-high 30 points not enough, as Men's Basketball falls 63-61 to Colorado College

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team (9-5, 4-2 SCAC) had a 10-point lead with six minutes remaining, but fell 63-61 to Colorado College on Saturday evening at the Maher Athletic Center.

Dallas entered halftime with a 32-29 advantage, after Tanner Bruffey (Lubbock, Texas) went 4-of-5 from 3-point range in the period. The senior forward paired a game-high 30 points with a team-high six rebounds.

Colorado (8-7, 5-1 SCAC) faced a 10-point deficit with six minutes remaining in regulation, and a 7-0 run soon thereafter pulled the Tigers within three.

The Crusaders held a four-point lead with 24 ticks to go, but consecutive buckets by Ryan Milne leveled the score 61-61.

Chris Lesnansky paced Colorado in the second-half with 12 points, and converted two free-throws with seven seconds left to give the Tigers a two-point triumph.

In the loss, Dallas took points-off-turnovers (12-2), but were bested in points-in-the-paint (28-24) and bench points (17-11).
