IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team (6-6, 0-2 SCAC) was defeated 79-62 by Centenary College of Louisiana (6-5, 1-0 SCAC) on Friday night at the Maher Athletic Center.
Following a first-half with seven lead changes, the Crusaders entered the break with a 34-32 advantage over the Gents.
A converted 3-pointer by Jonathan Blount -- with 15:14 remaining in the game -- shifted the scoreboard in Centenary's favor for good. Blount's trifecta gave his team a 42-39 lead, and he finished with a team-high 15 points.
The Gents deposited 19-of-25 (76 percent) from the field in the second-half and 33-of-56 (58.9 percent) on the game.
Ross Davidson's (Dana Point, Calif.) game-high 18 points spearheaded a Dallas attack that ended 24-of-53 (45.3 percent) from the floor. The senior forward added two rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes of play.
Centenary had five players enter double-figure scoring, while freshman guard Michael Sarrat (Colleyville, Texas) tallied 10 points for head coach Jarred Samples' squad.
Jarrius Browning managed a game-high nine boards for the Gents, who outrebounded the navy and white 33-20.
