FARMERS BRANCH, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team (8-3, 1-0 SCAC) registered a 90-76 win over Dallas Christian College (DCC) on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Crusaders trailed DCC by 10 points (24-14), with 8:47 remaining in the first-half. Dallas responded, over the next 2:32, with a 10-0 run to tie the game.

There were three lead changes in all, and head coach Jina Johansen's squad boasted a 39-32 advantage entering the break.

With 6:22 left in the contest, freshman guard Lindsey Gendron (Houston, Texas) knocked-down one of her five 3-pointers on the game to give the navy and white a game-high 26-point (79-53) advantage.

Gendron finished with a career and game-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field. She added four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 19 minutes of play off the bench.

DCC ended the affair on a 23-11 run to pull within 14 points, by the final buzzer.

Five players from each team finished in double-figure scoring, and Jessalyn Flowers' 18 points were tops for DCC.

Junior guard Marleyna Bustamante (Donna, Texas) and junior foward Brooke Hagemann (Oklahoma City, Okla.) each amassed 12 points for Dallas. Their teammates -- senior post Christy Allen (Burton, Mich.) and freshman post Seana Stoia (Tulsa, Okla.) -- contributed 10 points apiece.

Freshman guard Holly Tonry (Seattle, Wash.) dished a career and game-high nine assists.

The Lady Crusaders outrebounded their counterpart (37-28), and claimed notable positive margins in points-off-turnovers (18-9), points in the paint (40-20), fast-break points (21-2) and bench points (45-23).

Next opponent: 

In their second conference game of the season, Dallas hosts Centenary College of Louisiana (0-9) in an 8 p.m. tip-off on Friday.
