CONWAY, Arkansas -- The University of Dallas women's soccer team lost their season opener against the Warriors of Hendrix College (AR) 1-0 on Saturday, with a final score of 2-1. They fall to 0-1 on the year.  

The Crusaders found themselves down early on as the Warriors scored in the 43rd minute. The Crusaders defended the goal with three saves prior to Hopkins score in the first period. The Crusaders' Miriam Skinner netted the first goal for Dallas at the 64th minute mark to tie the game. Hendrix would scave off the comeback in the second period with a game-winning goal to low center. The Crusaders would attempt a game extending goalkick in the 90th minute, but the attempt was just short of the goal.

Dallas had one shot on the goal and faced six shots in the first period. The Crusaders picked up the intensity with three shots on the goal in the second period. Hendrix took six shots in the first period, with three on the goal. Dallas racked up six saves to the Warriors three throughout the contest.

Ella Charles had five saves total and was the heartbeat on defense for the Crusaders.
