SUWANEE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its 2025–26 women's basketball preseason poll on Thursday morning, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The University of Dallas was picked to finish 11th in the preseason rankings.
Texas Lutheran University earned the top spot with seven first-place votes and 117 total points, followed closely by Colorado College (110) and the University of St. Thomas (100) to round out the top three. McMurry University (91) and Concordia University (Texas) (77) were projected to finish fourth and fifth, respectively.
Rounding out the poll were Austin College (62), University of the Ozarks (60), Schreiner University (52), Hendrix College (42), LeTourneau University (38), University of Dallas (29), and Centenary College (14).
Texas Lutheran enters the season as the preseason favorite after a strong 2024–25 campaign, while SCAC Men's and Women's Basketball Media Days will tip off Monday, October 27. The 2025–26 season officially begins on Friday, November 7.
