IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas volleyball team wrapped up its 2025 season with a pair of home matches at the Maher Athletic Center this past weekend, falling to Hendrix (3–0) on Saturday and to Ozarks (3–1) on Sunday. Despite the outcomes, the Crusaders showed steady improvement and strong individual efforts to close out the year.
Game 1: Hendrix 3, Dallas 0
The Crusaders opened the weekend against one of the SCAC's top teams, with Hendrix taking the match in straight sets (25–17, 25–13, 25–16). Mary Mehan led Dallas with five kills and added three blocks and two aces, while Ja'Niyah Boudreaux and Andrea Zavaleta-Vega each tallied three kills. Breana Timms anchored the back row with 17 digs and added three service aces, and Ava Jackson chipped in three blocks and seven digs.
Game 2: Ozarks (AR) 3, Dallas 1
Dallas closed the weekend with an energetic four-set battle against Ozarks, highlighted by its strongest offensive showing of the homestand. Mehan and Boudreaux each notched nine kills, with Leslie Torres close behind at eight. Isabella Salazar directed the attack with 19 assists and added two service aces, while Timms once again led defensively with a season-high 24 digs.
The Crusaders finish the 2025 campaign at 2–27 overall and 1–16 in SCAC play, showing resilience and growth in a challenging conference slate.
SEASON NOTE
Dallas will now turn its focus to the offseason, building on the experience gained from a young roster that showed promise on both sides of the net.
