Crusaders Weather The Storm

IRVING, Texas – After a much needed road victory last week, the Crusaders continued their dominance on the road to keep their SCAC Championship hopes alive. Dallas started strong against the Warhawks on Friday night, controlling the game from the outset and narrowly escaping with a victory. The Tornados, proved to be a tougher challenge, despite a larger point spread. Terrence Bryant iced the game for the Crusaders with a bucket and some free ones at the line.

The Crusaders now hold a 7-7 conference record and sit at 11-12 on the season.

HIGHLIGHTS

  •  Thomas Fleming led the way with a weekend-high 30 points on 6-of-10 shooting from three, adding 2 boards and 1 dime. He followed it up with a 21-point performance against the 'nados, hitting 5-of-12 from beyond the arc.
  • Johny Olmsted stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 7 boards, and 7 assists against the Warhawks. He then erupted for 28 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists versus the Tornados.
  •  Jack Boyle dominated the glass, grabbing 16 rebounds to go with 10 points against the Warhawks. He followed up with an even bigger performance against the Tornados, posting 7 points, 22 boards, and 9 assists.
  •  Terrence Bryant added 13 points, 3 rebounds, and a perfect 5-for-6 at the free-throw line against the Warhawks.
