IRVING, Texas – The Crusaders battled hard in their weekend series against the McMurry Warhawks, securing a strong win in the first game but falling short in games two and three.
In game one, the Crusaders came out swinging, plating 15 runs on 16 hits in an offensive explosion. Caleb Hohman and Cayden Hohman each drove in three runs, while Dylan Roscopf and Andrew Gaspar combined for five RBIs. Luke Gill recorded three hits, including a double, and Dylan Goddard contributed with two RBIs and two stolen bases. On the mound, Aiden Sharp provided 1.2 scoreless innings in relief, and Keller Shamburger closed out the win as Dallas took the opener 15-10.
In game two, the Crusaders' offense struggled to find its rhythm, mustering just four hits in a tough 0-10 loss. Luke Gill provided the lone extra-base hit with a double, while Dylan Goddard swiped another base. Despite the quiet bats, Dallas played strong defense, turning multiple double plays.
In game three, the Crusaders fell 11-21. Caleb Hohman crushed two home runs and drove in four runs, leading the offensive charge. Luke Gill continued his hot hitting, tallying four hits and two RBIs, while Ryan Metcalf and Dylan Goddard each added key RBIs. On the mound, the Crusaders battled through a high-scoring affair, with Nathan Miller providing crucial innings in relief to help secure the win.
