IRVING, Texas –– The Crusaders hosted Arlington Baptist on Monday afternoon and came out firing on all cylinders at Crusader Field.
Dallas wasted no time setting the tone, scoring four goals in the opening 12 minutes. Haley Cline netted two quick strikes, while Cathy Munguia and Nevaeh Coronado each added goals to extend the early lead. Coronado then struck again in the 13th minute off a feed from Cline, and Cline closed the half with her third tally to give UD a commanding 6-0 advantage at the break.
The Crusaders kept control in the second half as Cline tallied her fourth goal of the match in the 63rd minute before Grace Reyna capped the scoring in the 78th. The dominant performance secured an 8-0 shutout, evening Dallas' record at 1-1 on the year.
