IRVING, Texas — Isabelle Chevalier scored 17 points and Lexi Arzate added 14 off the bench as the University of Dallas women's basketball team earned a 73-59 victory over LeTourneau on Friday night at the Maher Athletic Center.
Dallas held a 32-26 halftime advantage before pulling away in the second half behind a balanced offensive effort and strong work on the glass. Chevalier finished with a double-double, adding 11 rebounds, while Hailey Hawthorne contributed five points and a game-high 11 assists to go along with nine rebounds. The Crusaders shot 37.8 percent from the field and outscored LeTourneau 41-33 after the break, using a strong fourth quarter to secure the win.
IRVING, Texas — Hailey Hawthorne and Gabriella Barrera each scored 16 points as Dallas completed the weekend sweep with a 72-52 win over Centenary (LA) on Saturday evening at the Maher Athletic Center.
The Crusaders jumped out to a 39-28 halftime lead and maintained control throughout the second half with steady defense and efficient scoring. Hawthorne added six assists, while Kathleen Santos recorded nine points and 12 rebounds. Dallas shot 38.2 percent from the floor and limited Centenary to just 52 points, improving its conference record with the decisive victory.
