Michael Kennedy and Nate Curtis were named the 2025-26 Scholar-Athletes of the Year for University of Dallas Athletics, recognizing their outstanding dedication to excellence both in the classroom and in competition.
First established in 1984, the Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is presented annually to the letter-winning varsity student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average. The inaugural recipient was Greg Roper, current Dean of Students and Associate Professor of English at UDallas.
Kennedy and Curtis have distinguished themselves not only through academic achievement, but also through their leadership and commitment as teammates. Both student-athletes consistently encourage excellence within their locker rooms, pushing teammates to succeed in their studies while also setting the standard for effort, discipline, and sportsmanship on the court and the field.
