Micayla Pope will accompany head coach Alexis Emanuel with the UDallas volleyball program ahead of the 2025-26 season. She joins the Crusaders after building experience across collegiate, high school, and club volleyball programs.
Dillard University
Pope began her collegiate coaching career as an assistant at Dillard University during the 2020-21 season. She contributed to the development of the program while balancing additional coaching roles.
High School & Club
In addition to her collegiate experience, Pope has coached at the high school level as a varsity assistant at several programs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She currently serves as a head coach for the 360 Volleyball Club organization, working with young athletes to develop their skills and passion for the game.
Personal
Pope played two seasons at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she served as a team captain and led the team in assists. She also earned academic recognition during her time with the Golden Lions, showcasing excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
Prior to UAPB, Pope competed for two seasons at Vernon College. She was a standout performer, earning Offensive Player of the Year honors, two All-Conference selections, Regional All-Tournament and Vernon College Classic All-Tournament Team honors, and serving as team captain.
A Dallas, Texas native, Pope earned her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Education 7-12 from Arkansas Pine Bluff in 2020, and an Associate of Science degree from Vernon College in 2018. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Administration.
