After playing the East Texas Baptist Tigers closely in the first half of today's game, the University of Dallas women's basketball team got left behind in the second half, losing 85-67. Hopefully, the lopsided loss to the Tigers (9-10) will not destroy the momentum that the Crusaders had been building during the past few weeks. Although they are 3-1 over their last 4 games, this is UD's second loss in a row.

Leading scorer and junior forward Cara Sczepanski (Highland Village, TX/Marcus H.S.) had another dominate game today. She scored 20 points and was 8-13 from the field while hauling down 5 rebounds. The only other Crusader in double digits was sophomore guard Kelly Regan (Plano, TX/John Paul II H.S.) who scored 14 points, grabbed 6 boards, and added 2 steals. Junior forward/center Joirdan Cole (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch H.S.) led the team with 8 rebounds and 2 blocks, and freshman guard Kylie Yoshimura (Temple City, CA/Mark Keppel H.S.) led the team with 6 assists.

The Crusaders next game will be on February 3 when they travel to Sherman, TX to take on Austin College. Tipoff is at 6:00pm.
