Crusaders Battle in The Maher

IRVING, Texas -- The University of Dallas volleyball team hosted Austin College and LeTourneau, including matches against both teams. Games were played on Friday.  

The Crusaders played in two contests and ended the day with a season record of 0-13. Dallas battled Friday, hanging tough in all three sets against the 'Roos. Dallas recorded 24 total kills to Austin's 35. Dallas would fall in three sets.

The Yellowjackets proved too much for the Crusaders but Dallas settled into their 2nd set as they fell within 2 points of a set victory. Dallas led with a higher amount of kills but it would not carry Dallas to a victory.

Aliya Unseth had a team-high 9 kills against Letourneau and 4 digs and 2 block assists.

Reagan Aponte averaged about 33 assists across both matches.

 

Up Next

The Crusaders will face the Ladies of Centenary College, Sept. 22, Sunday at 1:00pm in the Maher.
