UDallas Notches Back to Back Wins

IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas men's basketball team put together one of its strongest offensive performances of the season, powering past Howard Payne for a 94-85 win inside the Maher Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders shot efficiently across all phases and controlled the game with timely scoring bursts to climb to 3-5 overall and remain unbeaten in SCAC play at 1-0.

Thomas Fleming delivered a standout performance with a game-high 30 points, knocking down six threes and finishing a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line. Kris Burgan was dominant in the post, nearly flawless from the field at 9-for-11 while stacking up 20 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for a double-double and an insane poster in a tightly contested game. Chandler Holmes stayed hot from deep with 14 points on four triples, and Terrence Bryant anchored the interior with 12 points and 10 boards for his own double-double.

Dallas controlled the glass with 42 total rebounds and piled up 15 made threes, using their balanced scoring to stay in front throughout the second half. Evan Herrera added six assists off the bench, while Finley Montoya chipped in 12 points to help seal the victory in front of the home crowd.
