IRVING, Texas - The University of Dallas women's basketball team drop a heartbreaker at home, falling 67-58 on Saturday afternoon inside the Maher Athletic Center. After a dominant 21-point first quarter, the Crusaders saw momentum swing in the second half as HPU used a 31-point fourth quarter to pull away.
Gabriella Barrera led all scorers with 24 points, including four threes, while Hailey Hawthorne and Isabelle Chevalier added 10 points apiece. Maria Podskarbi pulled down nine boards, and Kathleen Santos provided a spark off the bench with nine points and four boards. UD won the rebounding battle 33–31 but couldn't overcome HPU's late-game run and a self inflicted stagnant offense.
