GEORGETOWN, Texas – The University of Dallas women's basketball team fell 70–50 to Southwestern University on December 18 at the Corbin J. Robertson Center.
The Crusaders faced an early deficit as Southwestern opened the game with a strong first quarter, holding a 24–8 advantage. UDallas continued to battle in the second quarter but went into halftime trailing 42–20.
Dallas showed resilience coming out of the break, putting together its best stretch in the third quarter. The Crusaders outscored Southwestern 23–20 in the period, shooting 50 percent from the field and 3-for-4 from three-point range to cut into the deficit. However, the Pirates responded defensively in the fourth quarter to close out the game.
UDallas finished with 23 bench points and forced 20 turnovers, converting them into 14 points.
