IRVING, Texas -- The Crusaders split this road trip losing to the Celts but getting the job done at elevation, exactly one week removed from a loss to the Tigers at home.
Dallas went down to Houston intent on getting a little revenge after falling to the Celts at home and for at least the first half it was within grasp. The Crusaders trailed by just 6 compared to 20 when facing the Celts last weekend. The Celts would prove to be too much despite a stellar shooting performance from Thomas Fleming shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc against a greedy Celts defense. Dallas would drop game one of the roadtrip 59-80.
The Crusaders already had a battery in their backs for game two of this roadtrip. After previously falling to the Tigers at home by 3 they made sure everyone got involved this time around, 13 total bench points Sunday night. The bench consisted of Michael Kennedy having 2 points, TJ Williams having 4 and Chandler Holmes finishing with 7 points. Dallas would win 66-64 powered by a 6-0 run to close out the last minute of play.
- Johny Olmsted had a team-high 17 points, on 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, 7 boards, 3 steals and a single assist
- Jack Boyle had a team-high 14 boards, 11 points and 3 assists
- Terrence Bryant finished both contests in double-figures, 10 pts vs the Celts and 13 over the Tigers
