JACKSON, Mississippi – The University of Dallas volleyball team battled through a Friday doubleheader at the Hangar Dome, facing Huntingdon and McMurry in a tough non-conference.
Despite flashes of momentum and strong individual performances, the Crusaders fell in both contests, dropping a 3-1 match to Huntingdon and a 3-1 decision to McMurry.

Against Huntingdon, UDallas struck early by nearly stealing the opening set before rallying to claim the third behind a balanced attack. Ja'Niyah Boudreaux and Mary Mehan each tallied 10 kills, while Anna Clement added six kills and three blocks. The Crusaders kept the pressure on from the service line, with Boudreaux, Isabella Salazar, and Isabella Woodley all recording three aces apiece. Defensively, Breana Timms anchored the back row with a match-high 20 digs.

In the nightcap, UDallas found its rhythm in the second set to even the match against McMurry, hitting .250 as a team behind Boudreaux's dominant 14-kill outing. Andrea Zavaleta-Vega chipped in six kills, while Mehan added five kills and three blocks. Salazar (13 assists) and Syraia Harvey (10 assists) kept the offense organized, and Timms once again paced the defense with nine digs. Though the War Hawks pulled away in the final two sets, the Crusaders showed resilience with competitive stretches that highlighted both veteran leadership and contributions from younger players. UDallas will look to build on the experience as SCAC play is on the horizon.
