IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's soccer team stayed unbeaten in SCAC play with a 2-0 victory over Ozarks on Sunday afternoon at Crusader Field.
The Crusaders struck early in the 22nd minute when Haley Cline tallied her fifth goal of the season off an assist from Cathy Munguia. Dallas continued to generate chances and doubled the lead in the 72nd minute as Semya Chancellor found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
The Crusaders controlled much of the match, outshooting Ozarks 15-8 and holding an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. The goalkeeping unit combined for four saves to preserve the shutout, while the Dallas defense limited the Eagles to just four shots on target.
With the result, UDallas improved to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in SCAC play, while Ozarks dropped to 2-5-1 and 0-1 in conference action.
