IRVING, Texas — The Crusaders men's soccer team hosted Lyon College on Friday in Irving.

The University of Dallas men's soccer team battled through a physical and emotional contest against Lyon College on Friday night, ultimately falling 3-0 at Crusader Fields.

The Crusaders held their ground for much of the first half, but a penalty kick conversion in the 44th minute gave the Scots the edge heading into halftime. Goalkeeper Andi San Roman turned in a strong effort between the posts, recording three saves to keep Dallas within striking distance. However, frustration began to mount in the closing stages as Lyon added two second-half goals, including one in the 87th minute that sealed the result.
