IRVING, Texas – The University of Dallas women's basketball team fell 61–42 to Austin College on January 3 at the Maher Athletic Center.
The Crusaders stayed competitive early, trailing just 14–11 after the first quarter, but Austin College used an efficient second-quarter stretch to take a 30–20 halftime lead. UDallas continued to battle on the defensive end but struggled to find consistent scoring as the visitors extended their advantage in the third quarter.
Dallas showed energy late, outscoring Austin College 14–11 in the fourth quarter, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
UDallas finished with 20 points off turnovers and 12 fast-break points, while holding Austin College to just five second-chance points.
